free music!! all summer!!

Hey kids, i just found this, courtesy of DCist:

Fort Reno park offers free concerts every Monday and Thursday at 7:30pm through the rest of the summer. The schedule appears here.

I must confess that i've heard of maybe two of these bands; they're all local, i think, and would require a bit of research to learn more about them (which i'm happy to do if anyone's interested).

The best part is that Fort Reno park is only, like, half a mile from my apartment! So if anyone's interested, we could hit up Subway (there's not much in Van Ness) or something and take a picnic to a free show. Woohoo for free music!

Let me know if you're interested. I'm not picky; any nights are good for me, pretty much, i just like to do free stuff.
